MBABANE – Hub giants Manzini Wanderers has to part ways with a staggering E90 000 to land the services of Moneni Pirates defender Andile Makhubu.

The Sihlangu defender who tendered his resignation to the Swazi Telecom defending champions last week, has already started training with the maroon and white outfit.

He is one of the players set to join the Thabo Koki Vilakati led outfit in the forthcoming season. Other players are prodigal son Ngwazi Nxumalo and XI Men talented midfielder Celucolo ‘Talos’ Mmema.

Moneni Pirates PRO Sibusiso Nkambule confirmed that Manzini Wanderers has approached them with regards to the player’s clearance.

"The team has made its intentions to sign the player known to us and we are not letting him go for less than the stipulated price tag," he said.

Nkambule however said they have unfinished business with their traditional rivals hence would start negations once the matter has been finalised.

He said Manzini Wanderers still owed them E10 000 for Dennis Zandamela, who joined the team last season.

"We cleared the player to them but they never paid us a single cent and for that reason, we will only start talking about Andile once that is sorted out," he said.

Meanwhile his counterpart Manzini Wanderers PRO Vuyile Dlamini also confirmed that negotiations have started.

"Nothing much can be said on the matter as we are still in the early stages of negotiations. We are still to meet with them for further discussions then we’ll take it from there," he said.

When asked on the issue of the E10 000 debt to Moneni Pirates, Dlamini said they were aware of the matter as it was reported during one of their meetings.

"We are still new in the office and once we get all the reports we will settle some of these issues. If we owe them we are definitely going to pay them," he said.
