LUBULINI – The Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) and the National Football Association (NFAS) donated blankets to four elderly women of Lubulini during the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup community visit on Saturday.

The PLS and the FA were touched at the plight of the quartet; Gogo Mariah Shongwe, Gogo Getty Matsenjwa, Gogo Mbuyisa as well as Gogo Lomakhala Dlamini.

PLS Chairman Sipho Matse and FA president Adam ‘Bomber’ Mtsetfwa presented the four blankets on behalf of their organisations in the presence of Lubulini MP and Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors’ leader Timothy Myeni. He said the help came at the right time. He said most people in the area were living in abject poverty.

"At least they will now have something to cover themselves in this chilly weather conditions. I would like to thank the NFAS and the PLS, not forgetting the Swaziland Post and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC) for everything that they have done for us," he said. He said his constituency had had no good harvest following the ongoing famine, and then pleaded for more support.
