MBABANE – Owner of Manzini night spot famously known as Cafe de Flore Moses Motsa has resorted to placing the venue up for sale at E4.5 Million.

This comes after issues surrounding the management of the venue were being discussed between Motsa and Congolese born former manager Michael Kayembe under which the venue was known as Chez Ntemba.

When reached for comment concerning a way forward on the venue, Motsa made it clear that since no-one was making any effort to discuss the matter with him, he would await the court order that would authorise him to either sell or lease out the place.

"I haven’t heard anything from anyone let alone anything from Kayembe himself so I have resorted to wait for a court order which will give me the authority to either sell or place the venue up for rental. My selling price would start from E4.5 Million and I’m not certain at what price I’d place it up for rental," he explained.

Motsa’s lawyers are Sipho Matse and attorneys. Asked if he would have any problems on how the place would be used by the eventual occupant, he said: "I wouldn’t have an issue on how the place is used, just as long as the eventual buyer gives me what is due to me then there wouldn’t be any problems to face."

Buying

When recent tenants of the venue, Swaziboy Entertainment were reached for comment on their interest on buying the venue, Mthunzi ‘Shadow’ Zwane said: "I don’t think we would venture into that because we have entirely moved out of that place so there’s no reason for us to go back."

Swaziboy Entertainment’s last show at the venue was during the Easter holidays this year. The place was then known as Cafe de Flore.
