MBABANE - Government will have to foot another bill to begin the recruitment exercise for the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer of the Swaziland Competition Commission.
The commission is under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade.
The consultant used in the recruitment exercise was JBH Management Consultants and the cost of carrying out the exercise could not be ascertained at the time of going to press.
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Jabulile Mashwama confirmed that the process would have to start afresh.
She could not, however, disclose the amount paid to the consultant for the previous exercise.
The minister referred further details on the payments to the Chairman of the Swaziland Competition Commission Sibusiso Motsa.
“The appointment of the consultants was done a while back and I cannot recall how much it cost to carry out the exercise. I am not in the office today (Friday) to double-check the amount allocated for the exercise but I do remember that JBH Management Consultants were the cheapest among those who tendered for the task,” he said.
