MBABANE – XI Men In Flight player Ricky Sibiya might also soon be declared a Swazi as he has applied for the country’s citizenship.

The Zimbabwean born player is the second foreign player to apply for the Swazi citizenship after his countryman Mbabane Swallows Stanford Ncube.

XI Men PRO Nkosingiphile Dlamini said since Sibiya might end up being registered as a Swazi they need to sign another foreigner. He said if everything went well Sibiya would be declared a Swazi by month end.
The team in their search for the foreign player who can replace Sibiya will play a friendly game on Sunday against Foreign XI a team based in Manzini.

“The team consists of foreign players who once played in the premier league but are now without a team,” he said.
Dlamini said since they also wanted to keep fit in readiness for their next premier league game by playing the friendly.
He said they could not get any other team since all regional teams were playing.

He said they were hoping to at least get one good foreign player during the game. He said if they spot a capable player they will definitely try him out.
The Siteki based team is currently stuck in the relegation zone with only one point away from Hub Sundowns who are the last team on the log table.

They already boast of a number of good foreign players who include recently signed South African born defender Matthews Gumede and Cameroonian striker Romeo Nyangwa. Both players made their debut during the team’s Saturday game against Mhlambanyatsi Rovers.
