Times Of Swaziland: WANDERERS’ TEAM LIST BURIED AT MNJOLI DAM WANDERERS’ TEAM LIST BURIED AT MNJOLI DAM ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 02/10/2014 04:44:00 MBABANE – A day after an iguana invaded Sigwaca House, a bottled Manzini Wanderers team list was found buried at Mnjoli Dam. The shocking discovery was made by six employees of AG Thomas on Tuesday evening when they were working on the old Mbuluzi Bridge. The employees, who preferred to comment on condition of anonymity, said they were shocked by the discovery. “We were working when I noticed a bottle in between some rocks. It got my attention after I noticed that it was closed. I decided to take it and I noticed that there was a paper inside. When we opened it, some black substances inside the bottle showed up and I threw it on a rock and that is when we saw that inside there was a paper with a list of names,” said one of the employees who made the discovery. The employee said when they took a closer look at the list, they saw Manzini Wanderers players and some officials’ names. They said the list was hand-written with names of over 13 players and one prominent official also on it. Later yesterday afternoon, one of the employees showed the team list to Manzini Wanderers officials. Manzini Wanderers Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza confirmed that the matter was reported to the team. “If there is anyone behind this thing, it is time he gave up. It is killing our football and it affects even Sihlangu. People are now doing things that are not supposed to be done in our football due to their belief in muti,” he said. Ginindza said the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) had to fight the muti issue until it was completely eliminated from football. “The team is focusing on its game on Sunday against Mbabane Swallows. Preparations are going well and nothing will disturb the club,” he said. Ginindza invited fans to come in numbers to support the club. He said they were all out for positive results. The discovery was made just two days after Mbabane Swallows’ marshals were engaged in an altercation with on-duty police officers at Somhlolo National Stadium due to muti beliefs. Muti scandals have rocked local football in the past years. A team list belonging to RSSC United was found buried at Mangwaneni Cemetery in Mbabane in April.
