Times Of Swaziland: MOHAMMED SCORES FOUR GOALS AS ‘BIRDS’ WIN 8-0 MOHAMMED SCORES FOUR GOALS AS ‘BIRDS’ WIN 8-0 ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 23/02/2014 03:09:00 LOBAMBA – Ghanaian striker Mike Mohammed scored four times as rampant Mbabane Swallows put Mvuma Hotspurs to the sword with a 8-0 hiding. The player has now jumped to the top of the competition’s top scorers’ chart. Mohammed opened his account five minutes after teammate Mandla Palma’s shot hit the post before it was driven into the net by a Mvuma Hotspurs defender Phinda Mabuza in the 3rd minute as he tried to clear it. He finished with a neat tap in a Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko low cross on the left flank but did most of the damage in the second half. Swallows rested Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze, Kudzanayi Matanda and Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko in the second half bringing in Darren ‘Dazza’ Christie, Phinda Ginindza and Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa. These changes proved too much for Mvuma who only created one real chance in the game but never threatened the Swallows goal. Mohammed scored his second in 70th with a header from a Phinda cross, got his third in the 82nd with a low curled shot from the edge of the box after Sabelo Ndzinisa set him up while he finished the job three minutes later from a Njabulo Ndlovu pass. The four goals also took his tally to five and made him the leading scorer, taking over from Malanti Chiefs’ striker Sandile Hlatshwako who has three but faces Green Mamba today. Other scorers for Swallows were man of the match Njabulo Ndlovu who scored with a scorcher from 30 yards out while Sabelo Ndzinisa helped himself to a brace. In the end, it was one way traffic and it could have been worse had Mvuma goalkeeper Sizwe Simelane not made two or three good saves.
