‘BIRDS’ STILL EXPECTING TCHAKUNTE’S ARRIVAL

MBABANE – Champions League-bound Mbabane Swallows are sweating over the
delayed arrival of their Cameroonian anchorman Jocial Tchakunte.
The midfield hardman was expected in the country last week but by late
yesterday, he had still not showed up. This, therefore, means he is likely to
miss Swallows’ tough MTN League encounter against Manzini Sea Birds on
Saturday at the Mhlume Stadium.
Noteworthy, is that the player watched Swallows in action during the team’s
international practice match against South Africa’s glamour side Kaizer
Chiefs, which was played behind closed doors at the FNB Stadium in South Africa
last Sunday.
He has already been registered by the Mbabane giants. Swallows acting Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Manana said yesterday that they were still
expecting the player to arrive and join the team.
“Look, Jocial is our player. I am positive that he is probably held up by
minor problems but we still believe he will arrive at any time from now.  He has
already been registered by the team and that means we expect him to come and
start playing.
“As per our promise to our supporters, we are doing everything possible to get
the team ready not just for the Africa Cup game against Nkana but for the
domestic competition as well. Once he arrives, we will let our supporters know,
he said.
Reached for a comment, the player, who is still in South Africa, said he was
still sorting a few personal issues that were making it impossible for him to
immediately join the Mbabane giants.
“I will be coming to Swaziland soon my friend. Swallows is home to me that is
why they have called me back. I cannot say when exactly I am coming though until
I am done sorting my things this side.
“I have a very good relationship with the team from the big boss to the
supporters. They loved me and I love them,” was all he was prepared to say.
