Times Of Swaziland: NO SALARY COMPLAINTS FROM BILLEN - ‘BOMBER’ NO SALARY COMPLAINTS FROM BILLEN - ‘BOMBER’ ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 06/11/2013 05:32:00 MBABANE – The Football Association’s (FA) President and Senator Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa has dismissed claims that Sihlangu’s ex-coach Valere Billen had salary complaints. Addressing the media during a press conference at the Sigwaca House’s Conference Room on Monday, he said while they relieved Billen of his duties, it had nothing to do with salary disagreements. Mthethwa had been asked if the coach, who had not yet signed the new contract, was getting the E100 000 salary or not following reports where he claimed to be getting less. “Not one coach or any FA staff member has ever complained about a salary and as for national coaches we’ve never had such a case. Billen’s release as a point of fact is due to his own personal commitments back in Belgium,” he explained. He said personally he never heard any complaints that the coach claimed he was being paid less than the E100 000 salary the FA said he was being paid. However, it was reported by this newspaper that the coach claimed to be earning less. Humbled Mthethwa then took the opportunity to thank the new MPs for showing confidence in him by electing him into Senate. “I am so humbled by the election and should thank the 65 MPs who voted for me to be a senator. I really appreciate their confidence in me,” he said. Meanwhile, the FA CEO Frederick Mngomezulu said such claims were baseless and never reached their office such that the coach was not relieved of his duties because of salary issues.
