Times Of Swaziland: KABIA LINKED WITH SPAIN, ITALY MOVES KABIA LINKED WITH SPAIN, ITALY MOVES ================================================================================ Machawe Fakudze on 26/05/2023 09:23:00 MBABANE – Sierra Leone international and Mbabane Swallows midfielder Mohamed Kabia is earmarked for a move from the ‘Birds’ nest. The former Denver Sundowns player joined Umkhonto KaShaka at the beginning of the season alongside defender Triston Dunn, who was shown the exit door in January. Kabia made an immediate impact at Swallows, which earned him a call-up from his native country’s national Under-23s. His stellar performance in the Under-23s was enough to get him a call-up to the senior team. The player was involved in contractual disagreement with Swallows which saw him missing some of red and white capital city giant’s games. This was from a directive from his mother club and agent Alhassan Kamara, who alleged that the player was on a season-long with Swallows which has just ended. Kamara revealed that Swallows failed to pay the agreed signing-on fee of E20 000. He once again confirmed that the ‘Birds’ had failed to honour the contractual agreement and the player’s loan deal came to an end. Kabia’s agent said they were working on a move for him away from the ‘Birds’ nest and the move was abroad. “Mohamed is leaving Swallows 100 per cent, as his team have not talked to us since and what we agreed on they did not adhere to it. We are in constant touch with our lawyers and FIFA over the matter. What I reveal now is that we are currently negotiating with clubs from Spain, Italy or Montenegro,” Kamara said. He said Swallows had obviously gone against everything that was on the contract he was ready to expose them.Meanwhile, no immediate comment could be drawn from Umkhonto KaShaka General Manager (GM) Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane as he was reportedly in South Africa. Swallows has been invited to play in the Africa Day Celebration match against Amazulu at Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg today. The match will kick off at 1pm.
