Times Of Swaziland: MOMO CUP VOTING: ‘WESLIANS’ JUMP TO TOP MOMO CUP VOTING: ‘WESLIANS’ JUMP TO TOP ================================================================================ Nimrod Hlophe on 27/09/2022 09:03:00 MBABANE – They are finally coming to the party. With five days to go, Manzini Wanderers’ supporters have jumped from the 11th to the first spot in the MoMo Cup voting in just under 24 hours. Wanderers occupied the 11th spot on Sunday with only 512 votes. Yesterday, they ‘pulled a rabbit out of the hat’ as they came close to 3 000 votes as they had accumulated 2 961 votes. Reached for comment on the latest developments, Manzini Wanderers Chairman Mlungisi ‘Mluka’ Ndzinisa said such was bound to happen. “We expected this to happen; actually we knew that it will happen. We know the capabilities of our supporters as it has been with previous voting exercises. We are happy as the fans are now proving that we’re the most fancied team,” Ndzinisa said. The chairman, however, encouraged them to continue voting ceaselessly so as to get a chance to watch the stars they had signed for them. Rangers, who have been leading, were pushed to the second spot with Denver Sundowns below them. Nsingizini have jumped out of the top four to the firth spot while Premier League rookies Seven Dreams held on the fourth spot. Seven Dreams Communications and Marketing Officer Sandile ‘Ntofo’ Dlamini was grateful for the votes and said they were a morale boost to the team. Dlamini said the coach, players and the captain were excited about the fans support. He said the votes portrayed the love the Mankayane people and entire nation had for the team. He also encouraged his supporters to exert much force in the voting campaign by committing votes each and every single day. “With this data we have accumulated, it will help us get positive results on the proposals we have already sent out, both locally and outside the country. Interestingly, we had used some small data estimations, but what we see now, the numbers have already surpassed them,” Dlamini said. Tambankulu Callies, on the other hand, are still propped up the table with five votes. Callies Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mnotfo Dlamini said the side has a great fan base in the Lubombo Region who are already voting now as they had been closely monitoring the process.
