Times Of Swaziland: ‘SIKHALI’ MADE HIS OWN CHOICE – SWANE ‘SIKHALI’ MADE HIS OWN CHOICE – SWANE ================================================================================ Chris Dlamini on 19/08/2022 08:05:00 MBABANE – “I would never choose for ‘Sikhali’ and I didn’t decide his move to Green Mamba as his heart was with Mbabane Highlanders.” The Sihlangu marksman, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, made a shocking move to Green Mamba in the past week. With so many people pointing fingers at his sweetheart and mother of his daughter Emihle, Swane Mazibuko, who works at His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS), the home of Green Mamba; Mazibuko has cleared the air. “I’m aware how much people are blaming me and I know Ally also thinks the same because there was an article in Eswatini Observer citing him. I really don’t blame him and all those who have thought so on social media. Some people even wrote to me using fake accounts, but others just wanted to be certain if I influenced his decision or not. “The answer is one; I didn’t decide his future, he did. I only advised him to take what he felt was the best offer and I also have no regrets about it. Had he taken Highlanders, where his heart was, I’d still support him,” Mazibuko explained. She said if anything, the player was going to join police side Royal Leopard, who had the best offer until Green Mamba’s last minute swoop with a much better offer. “‘Sikhali’ had even international offers and he wanted to take one of those but then again he decided against them. What must be known is that he would have signed for Leopard but his heart was with Highlanders and he waited. Even when Green Mamba came, his heart remained with Highlanders to the point he was still struggling with it as he couldn’t face Ally,” she said. Mazibuko said people and Kgomongwe certainly pointed a finger at her because she was employed by HMSC but in all honesty, she personally was against working with a partner in the same place. Nice “It has happened so we’ll see. ‘Sikhali’ joined Green Mamba but he’s heart is with Highlanders because he had gone beyond player/team boss relationship with Ally. He was like his son and that love extended to me and Emihle. The man is so nice. He was always taking care of our daughter medically and took us out as a family and gave us so much money it’s fair to say he paid ‘Sikhali’ the reported E17 000, despite the contract saying E12 000,” she explained. Mazibuko said they both struggled to face Kgomongwe after what happened last week but at the same time she encouraged ‘Sikhali’ to talk to the MD as they had a unique relationship. “I don’t think any player got treated like ‘Sikhali’ at Highlanders. He was special and we also became special because of the love Ally had for ‘Sikhali’ and then Emihle. It hurts to us this had to happen. He had always said he didn’t want ‘Sikhali’ to leave unless it was to South Africa or outside the country,” Mazibuko emotionally explained. She said she would always have respect for Kgomongwe and was hopeful he would find peace as ‘Sikhali’ had to also consider his age. “Mine was to support ‘Sikhali’ once he had decided which offer he was taking as someone I’m in love and living with and plan the future with,” she added. Meanwhile, ‘Sikhali’ would not give his comment still, but was aware of Mazibuko’s responses to this interview. Kgomongwe was cited in one of the local publications as having allegedly said Mazibuko had the power to talk her man out of Highlanders. Disappointment However, Kgomongwe expressed calmness about the move as much as he struggled to hide his disappointment in his tone. He is the one who rescued the forward from a two-year suspension in South Africa that threatened his career and the player rewarded Kgomongwe with two good seasons as Captain of the black and white capital city giants. He also transported Highlanders to the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2022/23 as MTN Premier League runners-up to Royal leopard. Before signing for Green Mamba who gave him over E150 000 as a signing-on fee and a E20 000 monthly salary, he had rejected Leopard after Kgomongwe had assured him they would seal their new terms last Saturday.
