Times Of Swaziland: SEVEN DREAMS SECURE BHUNYA STADIUM SEVEN DREAMS SECURE BHUNYA STADIUM ================================================================================ Chris Dlamini on 10/08/2022 15:18:00 MBABANE – The country’s big teams like Mbabane Highlanders, Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers could play football in Bhunya once again. The last time elite soccer was played at the Bhunya Stadium was during the days of fallen Mhlambanyatsi Rovers, over a decade ago but the ‘School of Excellence’, as Rovers were fondly known, got relegated from the top flight football. This looks set to change with the promotion of Seven Dreams to the top flight. The Mankayane side which is owned by one of the Jericho sect church leaders, Bhekibandla Vilakati, is now in the elite league and had re-located to Mahlanya last season where they trained. However, Vilakati last week brought in a partner as his co-director. He is now running the club with his long-time friend and Eclipse Engineering Director Sipho ‘Kawu’ Sibandze, who is also a former Mbabane Highlanders player. Training Based in Bhunya through business, Sibandze has quickly managed to secure a training venue for the team, which they also intend to use for their home matches in future. “We’ve already secured the Bhunya Stadium and we’re grateful to the company for allowing us to use the facility. We want to use it for training which has started, as well as for home fixture venue, and we’ve already dropped our letters to the EFA so it’s now about their inspection but it all looks good. Support “We want the team to serve the people of Mankayane, Bhunya and surrounding nearby places. They can watch top flight football again and support Seven Dreams,” Sibandze reckoned. He also said they were working on having a strong preseason including playing South African teams and they already had an invite to attend a tournament in Nelspruit this weekend but all details about it would follow in due course. It is understood they are being assisted by Coach, Mliton Dlamini and legend Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina, who are based in Mpumalanga, Nelspruit.
