Times Of Swaziland: CAPTAIN UPBEAT AHEAD OF MAURITIUS TEST CAPTAIN UPBEAT AHEAD OF MAURITIUS TEST ================================================================================ Ntokozo Magongo on 06/07/2022 07:41:00 MBABANE – The national team, Sihlangu, Captain Lindo Mkhonta had observed that Mauritius were still the same team they played a 2-all draw with in the 2019 edition. He said there were few changes within the squad and that would work to their advantage, as the two countries faced off this afternoon in their opening Group B match in the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup, at King Zwelithini Stadium. Action gets underway at 2pm. Mkhonta was speaking after their last training session before the game, yesterday, in Durban where he declared readiness for the game, saying they were looking forward to it. “We are ready to play after having good preparations. We know Mauritius as a team because. We last played against them in 2019 with the game finishing in a 2-all draw. We have met them around hotels here in Durban and they are almost the same squad that we played against two years ago,” he said. Mkhonta said they would give them the attention that they needed and they respected them as a team, but in the field of play things would change. “The game we are going to play is important because it is the first game and it shows you the direction you are heading. We just hope that the nation will pray for us back home and give us the support we need to conquer,’’ he said. Meanwhile, Coach Dominic Kunene said the spirit among the players was high and other wished the game could be already taking place. “I have an injury-free squad. We just had our last session where everything ended without any challenges. Everyone is looking forward to the game. We have the plan for our opponents and now we just need the 90 minutes inside the field of play,” he said.
