Times Of Swaziland: TS SPORTING BOSS WARNS LOCALS TS SPORTING BOSS WARNS LOCALS ================================================================================ BY LWAZI DLAMINI on 23/09/2021 08:26:00 MBABANE – “Be careful before you sign a contract!” That’s the chilling message to Eswatini players by South Africa’s GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting director Slungu Thobela after yet another Eswatini player was caught in a contractual web in Felix Badenhorst. Badenhorst found himself in a dilemma after also signing a two-year contract with Mbabane Swallows having already signed with ‘Abantu Bemthetho’ as TS Sporting are affectionately known. Thobela’s team survived relegation last season after successfully challenging the registration of former Mbombela United striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa. Ndzinisa’s former team was docked 23 points and the Sihlangu forward was suspended for two years after he was found to have been a defaulter having signed a contract earlier with TS Sporting. “My advice to the Eswatini players would be to say, they need to be careful before they sign any contract. It’s binding. If you break the law, you should be ready for the consequences,” Thobela said matter-of-factly. He said the case of the two Eswatini players, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst should be a lesson to other players to understand the importance of contracts and what they mean. “The thing is, we clubs, do not force anyone to sign a contract. Asibasukeli. They should be careful before signing anything,’ he said. Mbabane Swallows have found themselves in a quandary as they now have to pay a sum of E70 000 compensation fee in order for Thobela to revoke Badenhorst’s two-year contract he signed with the GladAfrica Championship side before he can wear the red and white kit again in the new 2021/2022 season.
