The former rugby national team Sizeze player said he would like to give young children an opportunity to play rugby from a young age. Dlamini is one of the local rugby players who has played a major role in the sport in the country. He was part of Manzini Rhinos Rugby Club, a team that did very well in the local league back in the 2016/17 season. They had good strong players that also represented the national team against Lesotho. He developed a number of players during his time in the country such as Mike Odendal, Mzomuhle Zwane, Khanya Nkambule and Thabani Hadzebe, to name just a few. skills Dlamini said he was now based in South Africa trying to get more playing skills and making means of coming back home to do his coaching as he wanted to introduce young children to the sport. “I’m currently with Standerton Rugby Club in Mpumalanga South Africa but I’m thinking of coming back home to see how I could help young children play rugby. I would love to form a sports academy that will produce future rugby stars that could take rugby in a higher level, and also play in all the national team levels because that where we lacking at the moment,” Dlamini said. He further said that he wants to see rugby in the country reaching the level of football in terms of recognition. “Rugby is one of the big sports in the world if you see countries like New Zealand, Australia, England, South Africa and all the other countries that rugby has proper leagues you can tell that it is a big sport. Here in Eswatini, we have companies that have good facilities such as RES Corporation, Ubombo Sugar Limited (Illovo), USA Distillers, Montigny, and Shiselweni Forestry if all these companies could own a rugby team they could bring competition in the sport,” he said.
