The campaign branded ‘Jovel’ Industry’ or Ngyabuya/ Syabuya is a drive that seeks to unite the country to vaccinate as to achieve the goal of going back to normal lives. Football fans and athletes in some sporting codes have been greatly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and they have been missing in action since March 2020. In the country, the hospitality, sports and entertainment industries have been placed on a protracted restriction leading to heavy losses which cannot be sustained into the future. “Given the arrival of the vaccine which the aforementioned industries have long been advocating for, there is hope on the horizon,” he said. Zwane said the sporting fraternity has a huge role to play in achieving this including the athletes and the supporters. “There have been a lot of unfounded theories making rounds especially on digital platforms which have not escaped the attention of the youth in particular.
