Times Of Swaziland: ‘ACE’ OUT OF CALLIES PACK ‘ACE’ OUT OF CALLIES PACK ================================================================================ BY SABELO NDZINISA on 25/11/2020 00:43:00 MBABANE – He has reportedly walked out of the team. It has since emerged that the appointment of seasoned coach Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini as the new Tambankulu Callies Technical Director (TD) was just a verbal agreement. This is because the former Young Buffaloes’ mentor is said to have suddenly disappeared from the team’s pre-season preparations amid reports that he was helping one of the regional sides from Shiselweni involved in the national play-offs for a place in the national first division league in the new season. Investigations by this newspaper revealed that Dlamini has not been attending Callies’ training in recent days but the club’s boss Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba appeared not too concerned. “Ace was engaged as technical director but we had no contractual agreement yet because we are still busy with the process of hiring our new coach. What I know is that he was part of our preparations last week but I was informed that he was seen coaching one of the teams from Shiselweni involved in the regional play-offs,” Mamba said. He added that ‘Ace’ had not indicated any displeasure in the team hence they were still adamant that he is still part of them. “I want to believe that if he has taken that decision (to walk out), he will say his proper goodbyes. He has not done that and we are therefore confident that he will show up because his technical expertise was going to come in handy for my players,” Mamba said. Reached for comment, ‘Ace’ did not deny that he was currently not with Callies and stated that Mamba was aware of the reasons. absence “I would not want to go into details of my absence from Callies at the moment because Ngudze is aware of the reasons. The truth is, I was asked to provide technical assistance to the team but there was no contract signed,” he said. The former Mbabane Highlanders’ TD further alluded to the fact that he was asked to help one of the Shiselweni super league teams involved in the regional play-offs. “Just like Callies, the Shiselweni team came and requested my technical assistance as they were involved in the regional play offs but that is just that and nothing more. I would not want to say what will happen going forward,” he said.
