Times Of Swaziland: REPS OUTPLAY WAY INN, SHOOT TO TOP REPS OUTPLAY WAY INN, SHOOT TO TOP ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 16/09/2020 01:01:00 MBABANE – The police brought all their fire against Way Inn last Saturday in a grudge pool league match in Malkerns. Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Pool Club, visited their bitter rivals, Way Inn from Malkerns, in the Dixie’s Pool League. The match was played at Malkerns Game Room. The league is played under the auspices of the Manzini Regional Pool League (MRPA) chaired by Muntu Dlamini, Way Inn director. Behind REPS is Constable Norman Khoza ,who had recently criticised Dlamini and his MRPA Executive Committee in the media over annulling the league. Lockdown REPS had already beaten Way Inn before the country went into lockdown in the third match of the league’s third edition. However, the season was restarted from scratch after government allowed some of the sporting activities to resume but only non-contact sports. In their previous match, REPS won 13-11, but that result does not count because the league was annulled. They met again over the weekend and interestingly, it was again the two teams’ third match. REPS proved too good on the day, finishing what is said to have been a very tough and interesting match at 13-8. It was indeed sweet revenge for the police team as it had often fallen to Way Inn especially in the knockout finals. They look ready to turn the tide against their equally star-studded and well experienced side. REPS had already easily brushed aside the Malkerns side, Nicks, the previous day with a 13-4 bonus win. The two results took them to the summit; toppling Correctional Services who are now second while on third its Way Inn. REPS have 15 points, Correctional on 14 and Way Inn are on 11. Last season’s champions Manzini Pool Club (MPC) are fifth with nine points while Mankayane completed the top four with 10 points.
