Times Of Swaziland: I WANT TO HELP ROYAL EAGLES AVOID RELEGATION - MILTON I WANT TO HELP ROYAL EAGLES AVOID RELEGATION - MILTON ================================================================================ BY SANELE JELE on 14/08/2020 02:14:00 MBABANE – After being reinstated as Royal Eagles coach, Eswatini-born coach Milton Dlamini has a target in mind, which is to help Eagles escape relegation. He made these comments after seeing his side play to a goalless draw with his former team Free State Stars on Tuesday. The coach also spoke about the experience of playing football in the COVID-19 era. “The five months of no training and three weeks preseason training proved to be very abnormal for the players. The first game was very difficult for all the teams. My task here is to help the team avoid relegation,” Dlamini said. “Players have lost their rhythm and their footing and this resulted in a poor quality display of football. The first games have been used as friendly games since there are no friendly games allowed during this COVID-19 period,” he said. He said that for them as coaches they used this first game as a tool to help the players find their rhythm and footing. “The most important thing here is to avoid a defeat. That is why we saw a lot of draws from the first games,” he added. When asked how it was playing his former team, Free State Stars, he said; “Playing my former team was always going to be difficult as we know each other very well (myself and the Free State stars players). They know how I think and I knew their strength and weakness. Above all that, it was a good reunion which brought back the good memories we had while working together,” he said.
