Times Of Swaziland: TYRES NEW HOME TRAINING TREND TYRES NEW HOME TRAINING TREND ================================================================================ BY THEMBA ZWANE on 07/07/2020 00:43:00 MBABANE – Active Matrix Gym Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer Wandile ‘Lalas’ Dladla has joined other fitness enthusiasts in the use of tyres for home training. Despite the good news announced by Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini this past Friday at the Cabinet Offices during a press briefing, that gyms, health and beauty spas will start operating next Monday, home training remained key for local sportspeople. The well-travelled fitness fanatic, who is currently at home as gyms are yet to open, uses R1W tyres, which are big tractor tyres. Dladla said as a fitness coach and personal trainer, and as an employee of the Active Matrix, he was basically able to introduce a group of people to their WhatsApp group to start a home-based training challenge with their families. pioneered Explaining how he also pioneered the home training online initiative, ‘Lalas’ said the first thing he did was to design a 21-day lockdown challenge based on exercises that one can do at home using their own bodyweight. “After the 21 days, we stared a challenge we called ‘Spell my name training challenge’ and this training exercise basically incorporated most of the exercises a person did not need any equipment to do,” said the personal trainer. He added that the only thing people would use was a stopwatch as they would time the exercises. He said most of the time people would ask him questions on how to perform the exercises and he was able to send them pictures and the description of each exercise. Other athletes who have joined the home training challenge include Eswatini Ashihara Karate Association senior Sensei Abdul Khaaliq.
