Times Of Swaziland: DENVER SUNDOWNS INTENSIFY E25 000 FUNDRAISING DENVER SUNDOWNS INTENSIFY E25 000 FUNDRAISING ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 30/06/2020 23:49:00 MBABANE – A Mobile Money (MoMo) account has been opened to cater for the collections and contributions by Denver Sundowns supporters. This is to ensure that all funds made by supporters are accounted for. On top of the reasons for the account, is also the E25 000 fine to the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) after the club was found guilty of misconduct in a league game against Malanti Chiefs in Pigg’s Peak before games were suspended on March 13 due to COVID-19. In a press statement by the hub side’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Muzi Matsenjwa yesterday, it was confirmed that they had since ‘reached an agreement with the Premier League sponsors, MTN, to open a Mobile Money account for supporters’. “The main purpose of the account is the collection and storage of supporters’ contributions to the team. There have been growing concerns over the years on the accountability of funds contributed by supporters,” read the statement in part. He explained that it was the team’s Management Committee (MC) and National Supporters Committee’s (NSC) hard work that resulted in the matter being addressed.
