Times Of Swaziland: SANDILE, MCCREESH CONTRACTS NOT RENEWED SANDILE, MCCREESH CONTRACTS NOT RENEWED ================================================================================ BY SANELE JELE on 30/06/2020 00:26:00 MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows are shedding their playing personnel quicker than you can say ‘out of contract’. After earlier reports that the red and white glamour side will not renew the contracts of the foreign trio of Vusumuzi Zungu, Paito Dube and Siphamandla Dlamini; experienced stars, lanky forward Sandile Hlatshwako and midfielder Richard McCreesh have also joined the list of the players who will not be donning the famed red and white kit next season. The Times Sports Desk has reliably been informed that Hlatshwako and McCreesh’s contracts will not be renewed and they got letters telling them something to that effect last week. A source close to the team asserted that the decision was reached after assessing the player’s performance since joining the capital city giants. “It was not easy decision especially for McCreesh, who others felt deserved a second chance. However, the management together with the technical bench reached a decision to release the players,” alleged the source. Effort to get comments from this players proved futile as they all said they could only comment after officially getting the news from the team. Quizzed if he did not need the players anymore, Swallows coach Honour Janza also politely asked not to comment. News The team’s Communications and Marketing Officer, Mancoba Mabuza, said it was the team’s culture to announce such news in a press conference. The Times Sports Desk has it in good authority that the club had given the players the letters notifying them on the decision not to renew their contracts. Meanwhile, Swallows were expected to finally conclude the signing of out-of-contract Manzini Wanderers star Leon Manyisa after reaching an agreement a week ago.
