Times Of Swaziland: FOOTBALL LEGENDS TRUST FUND TO BE FORMED FOOTBALL LEGENDS TRUST FUND TO BE FORMED ================================================================================ Themba Zwane on 25/03/2020 08:42:00 MBABANE – Eswatini legends are forming a new legends organisation – Football Legends Trust Fund. This was the brainchild of an Ewastini football legend in Josiah ‘Diggar’ Dlamini, which he shared with other local football legends. According to Dlamini, the idea received a great reception from his other counterparts. “It was my idea which I introduced to other local football legends. This is after I started hosting a show called Libhola Eswatini broadcast live every Thursday evening on Eswatini TV. At the show, I invite local legends where they speak about themselves and the history of local football and it was gradually gaining viewership,” said Dlamini. The Mbabane Highlanders legend further explained that through the Football Legends Trust Fund, they wanted to deliver back to the society and help current players, assisting in the development of local football as a whole. “We will be engaging current players and encouraging them, we also plan to help in communities where the need arises,” said Dlamini. Further, the legend explained that another main objective of the formation of the organisation was to promote brotherhood among legends, meaning they wanted to socialise to know each other. Dlamini also disclosed that the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) had football legends such as the President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa and Vice-President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane among others who will also be joining the organisation in their capacity as local football legends. “We want to be involved in communities, help tackle challenges,” said Dlamini.
