Times Of Swaziland: BIRDS, BULL IN U-20 DERBY BIRDS, BULL IN U-20 DERBY ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 20/02/2020 01:11:00 MBABANE – Rivalry will be renewed when Mbabane Highlanders and Mbabane Swallows Under-20 face off in the EswatiniBank Cup Under-20 first round. This was the highlight of the draw held yesterday at the EswatiniBank Auditorium yesterday. The two sworn rivals will be playing for the first time in the EswatiniBank Cup and the first round games that feature eight teams will be played month end. Other fixtures will see Manzini Wanderers playing Mhlume Peacemakers, defending champions Tambuti will visit Moneni Pirates and Milling Hotspurs hosting Royal Leopard. Four teams, who finished top of the Premier Legaue, of Eswatini (PLE) Under-20 League will join in the quarter-finals. They ar, Young Buffaloes, Green Mamba, Manzini Sea Birds and Denver Sundowns. Conducting the draw for the Under-20 were PLE Development Officer and under -13 Manager Banele Masondo with the assistance of EswatiniBank staff Gina Way. Mbabane Highlanders midfielder Delisa Nkambule said they will be ready for the game. “It’s a big game to us just like the senior teams. It will be our first meeting and we want to do what was done by the senior team in the Ingwenyama Cup last 16 when they won with a solitary goal. It won’t be an easy game,” he said. Mbabane Swallows goalkeeper Kitso Msibi said it would be their biggest game of the season and they can’t want to get into the field of play. “We want to make Mbabane Swallows family proud by winning the derby match and also go on and win the tournament. We still have plenty of time at training as we have about two weeks before we play. Our fans must come in numbers for the game to support us and we won’t disappoint them,” he said.
