Times Of Swaziland: ZAKHELE SHOOTING’S ELECTORAL OFFICER ZAKHELE SHOOTING’S ELECTORAL OFFICER ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 24/01/2020 00:31:00 MBABANE – Eswatini Taekwondo Association President Zakhele Dlamini will man tomorrow’s shooting elections. The Eswatini Shooting Association will go to the polls during an elective general assembly at Manzini Police Regional headquarters, starting at 10am. Outgoing Secretary Sifiso Mtsetfwa confirmed that Dlamini would be the electoral officer. “Reports covering events of the past year will be tabled before the elections,” said Mtsetfwa, who decided not to stand for the elections due to work commitments. Meanwhile, Eswatini Shooting Association Chairman Sipho Ntshalintshali will contest against his predecessor William Kelly. Vying for the vice chairmanship post are Sandile Simelane, Elvis Shabangu and Nhlanhla Sithole, who are all from Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS). The battle for the secretarial post is equally fascinating. In the race are Dumisa Bhembe and Thembinkosi Fakudze from REPS and Matsapha, respectively. Lawyer Sabelo ‘Chicken’ Dlamini, on the other hand, is among the notable nominees for the vice secretary post and he has been nominated alongside Fakudze, Bongiwe Nxumalo (REPS) and Bhembe. Bhembe features prominently as he has also been nominated for the membership position. Meanwhile, Christopher Magagula from Central Bank of Eswatini, has been nominated unopposed for the treasurer position. The current executive was in office for less than two years. Their term has been cut short following the adoption of the constitution in March last year. In the past few years, the association was undergoing revival and it had to put its structures in order to be recognised by the country’s supreme sport bodies.
