This was on Saturday during the Titans Fundraising Boxing Club tournament held at Jimmy’s Complex, KaMchoza, Ezulwini. Gifted young boxer Zweli Dlamini of Matsapha won on referee stops the contest (RSC) against Khanya Shongwe of Correctional Service in round two after the referee had counted for Khanya two, times in the first round. In round two Zweli continued to dominate with hooks to the body and the referee had to count two times for Khanya and so it was obvious that the referee had to protect him. Thabiso Dlamini, also from Matsapha, in the 69kg, also won on RSC. The referee stopped the contest in round two against Thamie of Zebras Force Boxing Club, who was competing for the first with Thabiso in the elite category. lost Lwando Shongwe of Matsapha lost on points against Saneliso Gina of Mhlume Boxing Club. What a bout as Saneliso was able to knock down the champion of 49kg, who had been training in South Africa with Zweli. The best boxer of the tournament was Isaac Zikalala from the Titans Boxing Club. Eswatini Boxing Association (EBA) Secretary General Thab’sile Mngomezulu said the tournament hosted by Titans Boxing Club of Ezulwini attracted hundreds of boxing fanatics at Jimmy’s Complex.
