HOCKEY NATIONAL TEAM IN CAMP

MBABANE – The Eswatini Hockey Association (SHA) is hosting regional camps
ahead of two continental tournaments next year to select a national team.
Secretary General Prosper Sithole said on Saturday, November 30, they held their
first national teams camp.
“We are using these camps as talent identification and training for
Eswatini’s first ever hockey national teams.
Qualifiers
‘‘We are preparing teams for two international events slotted for 2020. The
events are the Central-South Africa Cup Of Nations Qualifiers in August 2020 and
Junior Africa Cup (Under-21 age group) in September 2020,” said the secretary.
He added that attendance was great on their first session with many players
attending and showing interest, with some of the players who plied their trade
in South Africa showing up for a chance to represent their national team.

The next session will be on January 18, 2020 at a venue that will be
communicated in due course. All players and interested parties are welcome to
this event.
