Times Of Swaziland: SPORTS EDITOR GETS COSAFA POST SPORTS EDITOR GETS COSAFA POST ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 08/11/2019 00:51:00 MBABANE – Multiple award-winning Times of Eswatini Sports Editor Lwazi Dlamini has been appointed into the COSAFA Media panel. COSAFA General Secretary Sue Destombes extended the invitation to Dlamini on behalf of the regional football body’s leadership. “On behalf of the President of COSAFA, we have pleasure in inviting you to be part of the COSAFA delegation for the 2019 edition of the COSAFA U-20 Youth Championship that will take place in Lusaka, Zambia from December 4 to 14. You will be expected to join the delegation for the period of December 2-11 in Lusaka,” reads the correspondence in part. Zambia will host the 2019 Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Under-20 Youth Championships during the December 4-14, 2019 period. Dlamini will be part of the media panel during the about 10-day event. It is not the first time for Dlamini to receive recognition from the regional soccer body. He performed the same duties in Lesotho back in 2013. COSAFA Competitions Committee Chairman in Eswatini’s own Tim Shongwe confirmed Dlamini’s appointment. Meanwhile, referee Thembinkosi Dlamini has been selected to be among the referees to officiate in the tournament. In an interview, Dlamini briefly said he was humbled by the recognition from COSAFA. “I believe this is not just a recognition for me but the impact the Times of Eswatini Group of newspapers has had in growing the sport and changing people’s lives which is the epicentre of our WHY as an organisation. I am humbled by the appointment,” Dlamini said.
