FEW ‘BULL’ PLAYERS AT SPACIOUS CLUBHOUSE

MBABANE – Most Mbabane Highlanders players are yet to stay at the team’s
spacious clubhouse in Ezulwini.
The double-storey building was provided for the team by South Africa-based
director and businessman Ally Kgomongwe, who came on board on Monday, May 20,
2019.  It was reliably gathered that only the internationals and less than three
local players were accommodated at the facility.  The ‘Black’ Bull’s
imports include striker Josef Lekata, defender Jimoh Moses and trainer
Masilonyane Maluka, among others.
“Most players are still renting their own places. Those at the clubhouse
include goalkeeper Phila Mamba,” alleged an impeccable source. One of the
players, on condition of anonymity, also confirmed that he was not staying at
the clubhouse even though it was in a very good condition. He could not come out
clear why he chose to stay away. Team Head of Communications said a lot of
factors were behind the current situation. “Players are not forced to stay at
the clubhouse and this is especially because we have just introduced it to the
team.“We do have local players who are employed by different organisations,
which is very difficult for them to move in because of the nature of their jobs.
Thirdly, we have some players who are still at school and living with their
parents,” said Dlamini. Highlanders are renting the facility and reports
suggest they pay over E10 000 per month.
