Times Of Swaziland: M. SEA BIRDS E75 000 RICHER M. SEA BIRDS E75 000 RICHER ================================================================================ BY THEMBA ZWANE on 19/05/2019 08:33:00 (At Somhlolo National Stadium) Manzini Sea Birds........(1)6 Bhekumuzi 21st, 78th, 81, Muzi 52nd, 58th, 80th Mbabane Citizens.........(1)2 Bhekinkhosi 6th, Mancoba 79th LOBAMBA – Manzini Sea Birds are now entitled to E75 000. That is after they humiliated already relegated Mbabane Citizens 6-2 yesterday during their final fixture of the 2018/19 MTN Premier League season. According to the 2018/19 MTN Premier League rules and regulations, position six finisher takes home E75 000. The team will also have its two clinical strikers, Bhekumuzi Mamba and Muzi Tsabedze, equally share E10 000 after scoring hat-tricks in this encounter. For the Charles Manda-led outfit, it was all about boosting their confidence as they prepared for life in the lower division next season in this fixture but it was a disgraceful outing. A win, draw or defeat, it was all the same for Citizens, who are already relegated. Citizens drew first blood as they scored as early as six minutes into the game. It was a cracker by Bhekinkhosi Mlotsa to beat Sea Birds goalkeeper Lindani Mtsetfwa and put the elite league first timers to the advantage. Their joy was short-lived as ‘Izinyoni Zolwandle’ found the equaliser nine minutes before the half-hour mark. It was Mamba, who opened the scoring charts after a good tap-in. There was good combination play between import player Richard Botwey and Mancoba Vilakati as they pressed for a second goal before the breather. Vilakati’s strike was almost in as keeper Lindani struggled to collect and the ball was out of play. Sea Birds came to the second half looking like a team with a point to prove as it was then a one way traffic flow. If it were not for a number of great saves made by their goalie Sandile ‘Onyango’ Dlamini, the score would be unspeakable. Despite the numerous saves made by the goalkeeper, Tsabedze found the back of the net for Sea Birds seven minutes into the second stanza. Tsabedze found his brace 13 minutes into the second half with an easy finish against the run of play to make it 3-1 in favour of the hub outfit. A number of changes were made by the losing coach as they tried to change their fortunes but it did not pay as Sea Birds were obviously the team with an upper hand. Sea Birds inflicted more pain as Mamba found a brace 12 minutes before time and three minutes later, he completed his hat trick to be E5 000 richer. Also completing his hat-trick was Tsabedze, 10 minutes before time, to be entitled to the E5 000 hat-trick carrot for the ‘Y’ello Sunday weekend. A goal scored by Vilakati for Citizens meant nothing at 79 minutes.
