Times Of Swaziland: ESWATINI CLIMATE AFFECTED US – EAGLES COACH ESWATINI CLIMATE AFFECTED US – EAGLES COACH ================================================================================ BY THEMBA ZWANE on 06/12/2018 05:18:00 MANZINI – The coach of Zambia’s Green Eagles has blamed the country’s climate conditions for their poor performance in the second half yesterday at Mavuso Sports Centre when they beat Young Buffaloes 3-2. Aggrey Chiyangi’s charges’ win means they proceed to the next round of the Total CAF Confederation on a 5-2 aggregate, after they beat the locals 2-0 in the first tie of the preliminary round away. Yesterday, they scored their three goals during the first half and failed to impress after the breather, as they only defended and buffaloes dominating proceedings to even lower the deficit to 3-2 final score. “The weather affected our players and their energy levels were low during the second half but it is good that we won and we are proceeding to the next round for the first time, so it comes as a motivation to us,” he said. Dominic Kunene, Buffaloes’ coach congratulated the visitors for a win and said his charges battled in the first half, were slow and conceded soft goals. “It was already too late in the second half as we had conceded too many goals and we knew sitting back would not help so we put pressure,” said the coach. He said they eventually made mistakes and Buffaloes capitalised but it was too late for a comeback.
