Times Of Swaziland: I WANT LEAGUE TITLE, CAF – ‘BULL’S CHAMINUKA I WANT LEAGUE TITLE, CAF – ‘BULL’S CHAMINUKA ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 09/11/2018 01:29:00 MANZINI – It is all up to the players to achieve that target. After earning a deserved victory over then unbeaten MTN Premier League log leaders Green Mamba on Wednesday night at Mavuso Sports Centre, Mbabane Highlanders’ Zimbabwean coach, Saul Chaminuka has thrown his cards on the table. “I won’t be happy if I don’t win the championship and my players know it. So we’re putting pressure on the players to win the league and I tell them it’s all up to them to win or lose it. Today (Wednesday) we achieved our target, to win the match,” he said. Continuing, he said that it was ‘the championship he wanted and the CAF Champions League’ next year. If that does not happen, he insisted he will not be a happy coach. He said his players delivered exactly what he had prescribed to them and as much they had moments in the second half in which Green Mamba piled pressure, they defended well and never stopped hunting for more goals. Chances “We missed a lot of chances throughout the game when we should have scored more goals but I’m happy we achieved our goal. Green Mamba are a very tough team but we’re also aiming for the championship and Africa next year,” he said. He also praised the players on the bench, saying they were ‘the most important’ part of the team as with the right attitude, they always made an impact. “I was happy with my substitutes even after we lost Vusi Vilakati through injury in the first half, we went on and created chances, which is good coming from the bench,” he observed. Going to the Mbabane Citizens clash this Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium, Chaminuka said it was another interesting and tough game for them but they would continue with their mission to collect all points at stake. His counterpart Caleb Ngwenya was no show in the post-match press conference, with only Chaminuka and his Captain Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze pitching. Green Mamba could be fined E2 000 for this as per the Rules and Regulations of the MTN League that all clubs are expected to attend pre and post-match press conferences.
