Times Of Swaziland: WE ARE READY FOR BIRDS-‘PROFESSOR’ WE ARE READY FOR BIRDS-‘PROFESSOR’ ================================================================================ BY Sanele Jele and Ntokozo Magongo on 14/09/2018 03:26:00 EZULWINI – Mbabane Highlanders coach, Mlungisi ‘Professor’ Ngubane is positive his troops are ready for Sunday’s clash against Mbabane Swallows. Ngubane made these comments on Wednesday during the team’s training session at Casino Sports Ground. The ‘Black Bull’ will cross swords with the ‘Birds’ in the grand opening of the MTN League at Somhlolo National Stadium. Kick-off time is 3:30pm. “As you can see, the players are sweating it out here and the spirit is high in the camp. They are all fighting to make it to the first eleven. I do not have favourites here; I select my first eleven according to who is working hard at training. I am happy that everyone is putting the effort and I like the mindset,” Ngubane said. He further said facing Mbabane Swallows early into the season was not going to be easy. “Well the players do not need any motivation going into this game. They know what is at stake and so they must deliver,” he added. When asked about the return of former University of Pretoria striker, Thabiso Mokenkoane, the former Golden Arrow coach said it was a boost for the team. “We know what he is capable of when he is on top of his game. We value him and we do hope his input will come in handy for the team. However, I must say that I believe in all my players including my goalkeepers, despite that Khanyakezwe Shabalala has been ruled out,” he explained. He also highlighted the importance of winning the first league game. “We know Swallows are a strong team but then we are ready. Winning the first game will set a tone for us in the league, so it is important that we win Sunday’s game,” he said.
