Times Of Swaziland: ‘KOLA’ TRAINING WITH MARITZBURG UNITED ‘KOLA’ TRAINING WITH MARITZBURG UNITED ================================================================================ Ntokozo Magongo on 12/09/2018 09:29:00 MBABANE – Nigerian striker Aladeon Kola is trying his luck with ABSA Premiership League side Maritzburg United. He started training with the KwaZulu Natal-based outfit yesterday after his three month contract with Mbabane Swallows expired after the ‘Birds’ exit in the CAF Champions League. A source close to the matter confirmed yesterday that Maritzburg United were assessing the player. If the move materialises, he will join former Manzini Sundowns Justice Figareido. Aledeon is still in the most wanted books of his former team, Manzini Wanderers and Mbabane Swallows but his first preference is to play in the money spinning ABSA Premier League. “He left the country on Monday for Maritzburg, where he will be assessed for a week and then maybe a deal will come out. He is a good player and his performance with Mbabane Swallows in the CAF Champions League created interest from a number of teams,” said the source. The Nigeria-born forward makes waves across the continent and beyond after scoring two goals. His goal scored in the 1-2 loss to Club Desportivo in the final Group D match was rated in the top five goals of the round by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Tunisian giants Club African, who feature prominently in Africa’s premier club competition, Young African from Tanzania are among the teams that have shown interest in the player.
