Times Of Swaziland: EX-PLE TOP OFFICIALS IN CEO POST SHORTLIST EX-PLE TOP OFFICIALS IN CEO POST SHORTLIST ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 05/09/2018 05:20:00 MBABANE – They held top positions in the organisation before leaving for greener pastures. With the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) out to hire a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), two former employees of football are alleged to be among other candidates who have applied for the post since it was advertised mid last month. Their names, however, cannot be printed as the PLE requested to conduct the interviews and name the successful candidate by next week. “They’re in the top five shortlist and will be going through the interview process which starts tomorrow (today),” claimed an impeccable source. The source said one of them, a woman applicant, worked for the organisation and changed its image in as far as improving their brand was concerned while the other worked on the business development side of things which, among other things, involved implementing the PLE’s 2022 vision to see all elite clubs financially sustain themselves. Others who could unsurprisingly be in the shortlist can include referee Simanga Nhleko who has been closely linked to the position before. Journalists’ names can also be expected as there are some who applied. “Check with the chairman as the agency we hired for the job reports directly to him or Executive Committee members. There’s no way my office would know this information,” responded PLE COO Pat Vilakati. The PLE Chairman, Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula, confirmed the duo applied for the job and that their interviews will begin tomorrow. “We hope by next week, we will meet and then announce the new CEO,” Magagula said. He said their consultancy would trim down the applicants to three after the first phase of the interview process starting today but by next week, they should be able to name their new person. The last CEO was former referee and CAF Instructor Zwelonke ‘Sport’ Dlamini.
