This was revealed by the association’s Treasurer, Cindy Dludlu, during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was held at Sigwaca House on Sunday. “We had a surplus of E74 282 06 after expenditure in our past financial year which ended on July 31.We had an income of E112 215 28,” Dluldu said. The biggest chunk under the expenditure went to office furniture that was purchased by the association which was valued at E20 418 05 and it was followed by executive sitting and travelling allowances at E16 357 50. The expenses totalled up to E37 933 22 and thus the surplus of over E70 000. Divas representative, Ian Nxumalo, questioned the financial statement. “We are happy with the financials but it would have been good had the treasurer made a presentation comparing the financials to the previous year. As things stands, it is hard to punch holes to this statement,” Nxumalo said. The treasurer admitted that it was an oversight on her side and promised to amend her presentation in the next AGM. The financials were passed by the teams.
