Times Of Swaziland: Walter Rautmann arrives on Saturday! Walter Rautmann arrives on Saturday! ================================================================================ LWAZI DLAMINI on 05/01/2010 00:00:00 MBABANE – Former South Africa’s Black Leopards head coach, Walter ‘Mr. Fitness’ Rautmann arrives on Saturday to begin his six-weeks contract with Mbabane Swallows, it was gathered yesterday. Rautman is expected to sign on the dotted line a six-week contract next week following fruitful negotiations with Mbabane Swallows top brass in a meeting held in Sandton, Johannesburg yesterday. Swallows director, Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze accompanied by secretary to the Board of Director, Lawrence ‘Lolo’ Mthethwa met the amiable coach and his business manager, Ernest Fakude yesterday. In an interview, the outspoken Rautmann confirmed that he is definitely coming down to Swaziland accompanied by former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper/coach, Allan Marcus. It could not be ascertained whether Swallows will also be enlisting the services of the former England’s Everton goalkeeper, Marcus. “I have been invited by Swallows to come and watch them play Jomo Cosmos then we will discuss other contractual matters later but I am ready to start working straight away,” Rautmann said. The excited coach said money and contracts to him do not matter much as he wants to revolutionalise Swazi soccer. “I am the fittest man alive. I run a soccer academy, I like working with children. That’s what I am coming down to Swaziland to do. I will not be there to help Swallows but I want to inspire a revolution into Swazi football,” he said. Rautman emphasised that he believes Super Sport United, the two times ABSA Premiership champions, can be beaten. “They are not Real Madrid and to beat them we need to be fitter than them, be mentally prepared. I did that with Black Leopards, we beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 at Ellis Park with Sibusiso Dlamini, Wonder Nhleko and Bongani Masangane. Before that game, they were unknown players and afterwards everybody knew about them,” he noted. Facilitator of the deal, Ernest Fakude said the contractual talks have not been concluded but everything looks promising. “It’s not a 100 per cent done deal but he is definitely going to help Swallows maybe on a six weeks contract which could be extended if Swallows are happy with his services,” Fakude said.
