Times Of Swaziland: OKOCHA, DWIGHT YORKE FOR CHARITY CUP OKOCHA, DWIGHT YORKE FOR CHARITY CUP ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 11/07/2018 04:38:00 MBABANE – The Kingdom of Eswatini will yet again welcome renowned ex-top footballers today. Former Nigeria’s national team star Austin Jay Jay Okocha and former Manchester United top striker Dwight Yorke are expected to be in the kingdom this afternoon. It is understood from sources that the Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) had a role in facilitating their visit to the country. “It’s true, Okocha is coming to the country and alongside him is expected to be Dwight Yorke. They will be here for an important cause among other things being the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup and the CAF Club Licensing,” confirmed PLS’ acting Chairman Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula yesterday when questioned on the exciting news. Magagula explained that among other things, the duo would assist them in sensitising the nation about the usefulness of the Charity Cup. It is anticipated that through their status in society, all emaSwati will come together and realise it was about time everyone was involved in lending a helping hand to the needy and underprivileged. “They will also assist the PLS teams in ensuring that they all had required structures to meet the CAF Club Licensing standards,” he explained. Magagula said the duo was expected here today but would not say for how long they would be in the kingdom, especially because Yorke is also part of the SuperSport TV World Cup 2018 analysing panel. “We are still working on the programme for the whole visit,” Magagula said. Meanwhile, the duo’s visit follows that of South Africa’s former Kaizer Chiefs greats who were here on June 30 for star in then Swazi international Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini’s Testimonial Match. These included big names like Thabo ‘Tsikitsiki’ Mooki, Cyril Nzama and Jabu ‘Shuffle’ Pule/Mahlangu among others.
