FANS GIVE WORLD CUP TO BELGIUM

MBABANE – Football fans are convinced Belgium are favourites to win the 2018
FIFA World Cup after eliminating Brazil on Friday evening.
The game was dubbed the final before the main decider. Fans came together and
were glued on their screens for the whole duration during  an activation by
Multichoice Swaziland at Mountain Inn in Mbabane. Belgium recorded a memorable
2-1 win to set up a blockbuster semi-final against France.
Brazilian, Pedro, who is currently in the country, said he was proud of his
national team despite losing the game.
“They played well, unfortunately results couldn’t come forward. I’m a
proud Brazil fan and our players must go home with their heads high,” he said.
Some fans predicted the score between the two sides correctly. They include
Times of Swaziland Sibongile ‘Sky’ Sukati, Gcebile Ndlovu and Muzi Mtshali.
A majority of them got the predictions wrong as they were of the view that
Brazil would easily cruise to the semi-finals.
Sibusiso Dlamini said it was tough now to predict the champions as all the
remaining teams have what it takes to win it.
“All the countries that we thought were going to win the World Cup are gone
.They include, Germany, Argentina, Portugal and now Brazil,” he said.
