Times Of Swaziland: ‘BIRDS’ STAR ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING! ‘BIRDS’ STAR ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING! ================================================================================ BY SANELE JELE on 06/07/2018 05:33:00 MBABANE – The pay-offline for Yogi sip drink goes, “keeping you sharp and on the go, go, go”. This slogan might have inspired a Mbabane Swallows star who was arrested on Wednesday for stealing the ultimate hunger buster for those with a mean appetite. The name of the ‘Birds’ star, known for his appetising skills on the field of play, will not be revealed for now until he makes a court appearance highly likely this morning. He spent last night behind bars. According to a source close to the matter he was nabbed for stealing a yogi sip drink whose 250ml cost E9.95 while a 500ml is E22.95. He committed this crime at Mbabane Pick n Pay. The source alleged that he was taken to the Mbabane Police station where he is remanded until his hearing. When reached for comment Police Information Communication Officer, Khulani Mamba confirmed the matter and said the Swallows and National Under-20 star was still in custody. “It is true that we have a case like that. The suspect has been arrested. That is all what I can say for now,” Mamba said. Efforts to get comments from Mbabane Swallows’ General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane proved futile as his phone rang unanswered when called several times. In a similar incident, last year, another Premier League player, Hloniphani Ndebele was arrested and found guilty of stealing chocolate worth E25 at Mbabane Shoprite. The player was sentenced to two months in imprisonment with the option to pay E200 fine. The Zimbabwean midfielder appeared before Mbabane Senior Magistrate Nonhlanhla Dlamini.
