For now, the acting Chairman is Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula, who took over on Tuesday after the resignation of Mark Carmichael on Friday. According to the circular released by the PLS yesterday, the AGM will start at 6pm at Sigwaca House on the Thursday of August 2. PLS Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati announced the AGM yesterday through a circular he sent to the teams. He said only the teams’ Board of Governors were expected to attend the meeting as they previously agreed. Top priority in the agenda is the electing of the chairman and the executive member. Part of the agenda also includes the acting Chairman Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula’s address and confirmation of promoted and relegated teams. “Part of the agenda includes the consideration of the annual report of the previous year of the executive committee tabled by the general secretary of the league, (and) the consideration of audited financial statements of the league for the previous financial year,” he said. Vilakati said they would consider proposals by the clubs and they must reach his office 14 days before the AGM.
