Times Of Swaziland: HAYDEN RULES MPUMALANGA LOWVELD HAYDEN RULES MPUMALANGA LOWVELD ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 23/05/2018 01:26:00 MBABANE – The country’s junior tennis player Hayden Loffler is ruling the Mpumalanga Province in the Under-15 category. This comes after his triumph in the Lowveld Mpumalanga tournament held on Friday and Saturday in Nelspruit, South Africa. Swaziland National Tennis Association (SNTA) Secretary Nqaba Mkhaliphi announced the rankings yesterday. He said Nonqaba Mkhaliphi, who travelled with Hayden to the tournament is ranked fifth in the girl’s Under-13 catergory, after she crashed in the finals. He said this shows great improvement for the local players and they will be motivated going forward. “The duo’s performance in the last tournament saw them improving in the rankings. They were not playing for the first time in the tournament as they also played late last month where they had travelled with two other players,” he said. Mkhaliphi said they will continue to send the juniors to the Lowveld tournaments as they are able to gauge their standard and also improve their games. The juniors had to play in at least over two tournaments before they are ranked. The duo has already made the two appearances. “It is important that they continue playing at such high level and this will improve their performance in international tournaments,” he said. Mkhaliphi said the next tournament will be played on the weekend of June 15 and 16 where they intend to have more players.
