Times Of Swaziland: SD BUILDING SOCIETY’S E120 000 FOR TENNIS SD BUILDING SOCIETY’S E120 000 FOR TENNIS ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 17/05/2018 08:41:00 MBABANE – It was all smiles for the Swaziland National Tennis Association (SNTA) as Swaziland Building Society showered them with an increment of E20 000 for the 2018/19 sponsorship. The package will go towards the development of the sport and tournaments. The E120 000 cheque was handed over by SBS Managing Director Timothy Nhleko to SNTA President Maxwell Jele and SNSRC CEO Darius Dlomo yesterday. Nhleko said, with the sponsorship they are practising good corporate citizenry. He said they believe in uplifting the communities they are doing business with. “The SBS has built a long-term relationship with tennis, which we are and have been sponsoring for years. Our brand resonates very well with the sport. Tennis is a good sport that requires individual commitment and does not require a lot of people to practise it. This attribute is an advantage for players to improve their quality play. This will make them do well even at the international stage,” said. Nhleko said they encourage the youth to be more involved, as that will help avoid other social ills like drugs and alcohol abuse among other things. SNTA President Maxwell Jele said the launch was history in the making. “It is with extreme joy and excitement that on behalf of association and the tennis fraternity at large, I take this opportunity to extend our most profound appreciation to the SBS for this generous sponsorship of E120 000 towards our development programme. This dramatic increase value over the last few years is evidence that our relationships has matured and that we are on the right course,” he said. Swaziland National Sport and Recreation Council (SNSRC) CEO, Darius Dlomo said sports were meaningless without sponsorships incentives.
