(1)1 Banele 19th MANZINI – Manzini Sundowns coach Musa Manyatsi cited injuries and misfiring after playing to a 1-all draw against Matsapha United last night here. Manyatsi mentioned the absence of Justice Figureido who sustained an injury two weeks ago when they played to a 0-0 stalemate with Mbabane Highlanders. The mentor further said he was forced to make a tactical change after Sundowns top goalscorer, Melusi Mkhwanazi (9 goals) missed an avalanche of chances. Matsapha coach Saul Chaminuka also decried the missed opportunities. Despite the draw, both teams moved one place up the ladder, Matsapha jumped to the fifth spot while Sundowns leapfrogged Mbabane Highlanders to the eight spot. The tightly contested encounter started on high note with both teams threatening to break the deadlock. It was until the 19th minute where the visitors drew first blood. The Matsapha-based side opened the scorers’ chart through former Mbombela United midfielder debutant Banele Ndzabandzaba who volleyed a powerful shot from Yuki Masina through a pass. The hosts responded 11 minutes later through talisman Sandumuzi Zwane who tapped in from 10 yards from a corner to add his tally of goals to six. Noteworthy is that Zwane has made it a habit to score against Matsapha as he has scored in the past four meetings. The game went into the breather in a tie.
