Times Of Swaziland: SWAZIBANK’S E100 000 WINDFALL TO ‘BUFFS’ SWAZIBANK’S E100 000 WINDFALL TO ‘BUFFS’ ================================================================================ BY SABELO GWEBU on 09/02/2018 07:23:00 MBABANE – Young Buffaloes need not worry about incurring expenses but rather focus on the task at hand - that of giving visiting Cape Town City a thorough beating tomorrow. This follows SwaziBank’s E100 000 contribution to the army side ahead of their Total CAF Confederation Cup tie against the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side. The endorsement comes in the form of E50 000 in cash and soccer kits, sports bags, warm-up T-shirts and sports bottles, bringing the total to E100 000. SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele announced the support yesterday at the bank’s auditorium, along the busy-as-a-beehive Gwamile Street inside the capital city, in the presence of Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, Football Association (FA) president, Senator Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa, Buffaloes’ Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Board of Governors Vusumango Dlamini and players among others. Buffaloes are in the Total CAF Confederation Cup by virtue of being the 2017 SwaziBank Cup champions, after beating Matsapha United in the finals. It was Buffaloes’ first gold in the tournament’s 14-year chequered history, reaching the finals in 2014, semi-finals in 2011 and going as far as the quarterfinals in 2012 and 2016. “SwaziBank is fully supportive of Buffaloes’ mission to conquer in South Africa and beyond. As such, we expect positive results, good behaviour, sportsmanship and that you will be good ambassadors for the country in all aspects,” Lukhele said to Buffaloes players who listened attentively, along with Management Committee Chairman Jabulani Dlamini and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sandile Gwebu. “We hope that the sponsorship will cushion some of the expenses that come with participating in a tournament of this magnitude.”
