Times Of Swaziland: WE’RE ARMED, READY FOR CITY – ‘BUFFS’ PLAYERS WE’RE ARMED, READY FOR CITY – ‘BUFFS’ PLAYERS ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 08/02/2018 01:42:00 LOBAMBA – Despite that a majority of Young Buffaloes players will be making their debut in the CAF Confederations Cup, they are raring to go ahead of their game against South Africa’s top side, Cape Town City. After their gruelling two hours training session yesterday morning at Somhlolo National Stadium, the players said they are not intimidated by the fact that Cape Town City are a professional club. Striker Phiwa Dlamini said they had not been performing well in their recent matches and this is the one that will lift their spirits. Buffaloes were booted out of the Ingwenyama Cup 1-0 by Royal Leopard, to deny them a spot in the finals. The only CAF experienced players at Buffaloes are Mphile ‘Nyandoro’ Tsabedze, Nhlanhla Gwebu, and Ndoda Mthethwa. “We have forgotten about our past results and looking forward to this game. We were disappointed by the results against Leopard but that will not deter us from beating Cape Town City,” he said. Dlamini said it will work in their advantage that Cape Town City knows nothing about them while they always watch them on TV. “Tonight (Yesterday evening), we will be watching them when they play Bidvest Wits. This is a tournament we have all been dreaming in playing in. I plead with our fans to come in their numbers and cheer us on, and we promise that they won’t be disappointed,” he said. Midfielder, Sandile Gamedze said surprises are there in football and they are only looking forward to winning the first leg match here at home before they could think of the second leg away from home. “We are going for the positive results and we believe that winning is possible. They can be a big team but not when it comes to the field of play. We are ready and let them come,” he said.
