Times Of Swaziland: PLS PROS PAY LAST RESPECTS TO LATE VICTOR GAMEDZE PLS PROS PAY LAST RESPECTS TO LATE VICTOR GAMEDZE ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 04/02/2018 00:14:00 EZULWINI – Three weeks since he was shot down and laid to rest, Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze remains remembered and honoured by many. Just yesterday, he might have had the last moment of silence observed in his honour – it was the PLS teams’ officials, in particular the PROs and CEOs, who opened their annual get-together at Polar Parkrest in Ezulwini, Mlindazwe with a prayer and a minute’s silence. “He was everything to us as PROs and CEOs so he deserves our honour. We’re proud that the current PLS has copied from him because this day is a success because they also contributed E2 000 and one must say thanks to ‘Touch’ Magagula, our current chairman,” Royal Leopard’s Frank Hurube said in his brief address. He said as team officials in the elite and First Division, they suffered one of the biggest losses in Gamedze’s death but were hopeful that the PLS would always have them in its heart just as he did. Hurube also explained that the function was scheduled for last December but because of various commitments, they managed to get yesterday to finally meet and mingle in an informal set-up. He also thanked the office of the PLS for its continued support and wished them the best as they continue to live life without Gamedze.
