Times Of Swaziland: CASTLE PLANS TO BRING SAMUEL ETO’O TO SD CASTLE PLANS TO BRING SAMUEL ETO’O TO SD ================================================================================ BY ASHMOND NZIMA on 13/01/2018 18:58:00 (In Sandton Sun Hotel, Johannesburg, Courtesy of Castle Lager Swaziland) JOHANNESBURG – Plans for Cameroonian superstar Samuel Eto’o to visit Swaziland are in the pipeline. As a Brand Ambassador of the Castle Africa 5s launched on Thursday, arrangements are being made for the former Barcelona star to visit some of the countries involved in the project. His visit to Zambia, where the finals will be played, is scheduled for May. Castle Lager Africa Brand Manager Thomas Lawrence said they would like Eto’o to make a stop in Swaziland, but it would depend on his schedule as he was still playing in the Turkish League. Asked on the possibility of coming down to Swaziland, Eto’o said he could come when it invited. “I like travelling, so I can come to Swaziland,” he said. Other countries that are part of Castle Africa 5s are Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Tanzania, and South Africa. Meanwhile, the Cameroonian legend said Swaziland has it what it takes to qualify for major tournaments in Africa. The most decorated African player of all time and four-time Africa Player of the Year Samuel Eto`o feels it would take only good organisation of the local league as well having a long-term plan to take Swaziland to the big stage. The former Spanish giants Barcelona superstar, who was named Brand Ambassador of the Castle Africa 5s tournament that would run across six countries in Africa that include Swaziland, was interviewed at In Sandton Sun Hotel, Johannesburg yesterday. “It can take organising the Swazi League to make it to the major tournaments. Good management is also key,” he said.
