EZULWINI – The night ended in disappointment for the Manchester United fans
but at least they still took home some prizes from Multichoice Swaziland.
Multichoice Swaziland ran a promotion for the English Premier League Super
Sunday.
United was up against Chelsea who won the match 1-0, a prediction very few got
right as most had predicted a goalless draw. Obviously, it was not the Old
Trafford side’s loyal fans who predicted defeated but rivals comprising
Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City at the Mdzimba View, formerly
Whispers.
The United fans had assembled for the night but were outnumbered by Liverpool
fans who dominated and cheered Chelsea throughout. Among these were Mbabane
Swallows’ General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane, Swallows supporters
Sizwe Dlamini and Sheriff Mndzebele and former Manzini Wanderers’ star
Phumlani ‘Botsotso’ Jele among others.
The fans who were present won themselves DStv merchandise being T-shirts, cooler
bags, umbrellas and sports bags after making predictions and answering a few
questions like the points that leaders Manchester City were in front with and if
the United loss changed anything in the standings.
Multichoice’s Marketing and Sales Representative Khetsiwe Mhlongo ran the
promotion along with stuff members Nontobeko Mahlaba, Philile Zulu and Dumsile
Masuku.
